How Common Ground was born.

The seeds for Common Ground were planted when my second son was born. Constant health struggles, trips to the hospital, failure to thrive, eczema, and non-stop crying from my precious babe, all before six months of age, while only consuming breastmilk. Once he started solid foods, the issues became even more complicated. When allopathic medicine provided no relief, other than eventual surgery or a feeding tube, I headed for the books and began years of research and trial and error. Along this learning journey, I engaged in a conversation at a health food store with an herbalist. She unlocked a missing piece for my child when she explained that all of his symptoms pointed to an overactive immune system that was seeking balance and calm. She revealed that certain food, herbs, and supplements can contribute to ramping up his already overactive system and wreak more havoc for him. She jotted down some of the "immune stimulants" to avoid, and from that day on, I haven't stopped researching and learning about the connections between food, holistic medicine, and wellness. My babe is now a teen and healthy and thriving.

Through the years, I have had my share of health struggles as well, which resulted in more roots of holistic medicine guiding my path, leading me back to restored health. Herbal medicine and food as medicine, helped me recover and thrive with a near death tick borne illness, mold illness, migraines, and an autoimmune disorder. Even though Western PA is an endemic area for multiple tick borne illnesses and has been for years, allopathic care still fails thousands of patients daily. Without herbal medicine, I do not believe I would be alive today to share my story and the powerful medicine that helped me recover. Once you've been plagued with tick illness, you are part of an underground network of folks seeking help anywhere they can find it. Allopathic doctors subscribe to protocols that sometimes serve their patients, but the majority of them are left with lasting ill effects and no where to turn for help.

Our mission

We're on a mission to change the way the housing market works. Rather than offering one service or another, we want to combine as many and make our clients' lives easy and carefree. Our goal is to match our clients with the perfect properties that fit their tastes, needs, and budgets.

Our vision

We want to live in a world where people can buy homes that match their needs rather than having to find a compromise and settle on the second-best option. That's why we take a lot of time and care in getting to know our clients from the moment they reach out to us and ask for our help.
